Before founding Pepper Pay, Eric was the driving force behind Vision Payment Solutions Inc. (VPS), where he was a Founder, President, and CEO for 13 years. Under his leadership, VPS grew into a globally recognized payment processing company, culminating in its successful acquisition by EVO Payments International in 2017.
Eric Hannelius was an early member of General Catalyst Partners as an entrepreneur in residence, where he contributed to many successful Fintech startup businesses that led to the early success of the firm. Prior to this, he held senior executive positions at FleetBoston Financial Group, Bank of Boston, and Bay Bank Systems, where he led strategic initiatives in electronic banking, mergers and acquisitions, and product innovation.
